I HAVE SOOOOOO MUCH STUFF TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND IT ALL STARTS WITH MY WIFE AND CHILDREN AND THE HOME WE ARE SO LUCKY TO SHARE TOGETHER…I HAVE A GREAT FAMILY AND GROUP OF FRIENDS, I TRULY FEEL BLESSED. 2013 WAS A VERY UP AND DOWN YEAR PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY BUT OVERALL, I HAVE TO SAY AS THE YEAR WINDS DOWN, THERE ARE A TON OF THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2014.

AND I AM GOING TO SAVOR THESE NEXT 4 WEEKS OR SO OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND JUST ENJOY THIS DOWNTIME BEFORE SOME REAL CRAZINESS PICKS UP AGAIN. WHAT AM I REFERRING TO?

WELL, I HAVE BEEN HINTING A LOT LATELY ABOUT MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS AND SOME OF THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN REVEALED IN PICTURES AND WITH THE RELEASE OF MY TEASER VIDEO “THE JOHNNY MEATBALLS EXPERIENCE.” SO WHAT PROFESSIONAL THINGS AM I THANKFUL FOR? WELL, IT’S FUNNY; I HAVE BEEN SEEKING TO ACHIEVE SEVERAL SPECIFIC GOALS OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS AND THEY ACTUALLY ALL CAME TOGETHER OVER THE PAST MONTH. GOING INTO NEXT YEAR, THERE ARE A FEW AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT THAT I AM SO GREATFUL AND LUCKY FOR WHICH ARE:

1.    THE JOHNNY MEATBALLS MOBILE FOOD TRUCK WHICH WILL BE ROLLING OUT SOON.

2.    THE NEW COLLABORATION WITH MOY MOTIONS PRODUCTIONS, MY OWN PERSONAL CAMERA CREW WHICH WILL BE DOCUMENTING MY LIFE IN A NEW YOUTUBE SERIES WHICH WE PLAN TO PITCH TO MAJOR TV NETWORKS UPON COMPLETION.

AND THERE’S ACTUALLY TWO MORE PARTS TO THE WHOLE “TV” EQUATION…

A FEW DAYS AGO, I GOT A CALLBACK FROM A TV FOOD COMPETITION SHOW ME AND FRANKIE TRIED OUT FOR AND WE ACED THE AUDITION. WE ARE ON TO STEP 2 AND IT LOOKS LIKE 99.9% THAT WE WILL BE ON THIS SHOW. CANNOT REVEAL ANYMORE NOW BUT WHEN THE TIME COMES, BELIEVE ME IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED. THIS IS AN UNRELATED SHOW TO “THE JOHNNY MEATBALLS EXPERIENCE,” BUT THE PROGRESS WILL BE TRACKED ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL SO YOU WILL GET TO SEE EVERYTHING UNFOLD!

AND THE OTHER BIG THING (AND I HOPE SHE DOESN’T KILL ME FOR MENTIONING THIS), IS THAT MY WIFE MEGIN IS ALSO ABOUT TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR HER OWN TV PROJECT.

SO IT LOOKS LIKE AFTER OUR 3 YEAR HIATUS FROM REALITY TV AFTER MY BIG FRIGGIN' WEDDING, THERE IS A REAL GOOD CHANCE THAT BOTH ME AND MEGIN WILL BE BACK ON TV IN 2014.

THAT, ALONG WITH MY NEW MEATBALL BUS AND ALL THE EVENTS I HAVE PLANNED FOR IT (ALL BEGINNING WITH SUPER BOWL WEEKEND IN FEBRUARY) ARE GONNA MAKE FOR AN EXTREMELY BUSY SCHEDULE NEXT YEAR. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, I WOULDN’T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY.

WE HAD CHINESE FOOD LAST NIGHT AND MY FORTUNE SAID “ALL OF MY HARD WORK WILL FINALLY COME TO FRUITION.” SO YOU KNOW WHAT, MAYBE NOW IS FINALLY MY TIME. AFTER 5 YEARS WITH MEGIN AND 5 YEARS AS JOHNNY MEATBALLS, IT SEEMS THAT EVERYTHING IS CLICKING AND I AM SO EAGER AND EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE.

So who is Johnny “Meatballs” DeCarlo?

Family man…meatball maker…entertainer…proud Jersey Goomba…

Five years ago, the “meatball craze” hit America… This old-school Sunday dinner food cooked by Italian-American grandmothers became a mainstream sensation. Meatball specialty shops opened, celebrity chefs suddenly became experts in this classic food, and grocery stores started selling a litany of packaged meatballs created by various manufacturers—most of which were done by non-paisans who never grew up eating them but were looking to capitalize on this hot trend. But it was one young cugine named Johnny DeCarlo, who truly was connected to this simple round delight from his childhood in New Jersey who made it his mission to bring his meatballs to the masses in the true style of his family—the “holy trinity” and true version of veal-pork-beef. People said it could not be done, using all 3 meats was “too expensive” to produce they said…but Johnny became the first one to have the 3-meat meatball sold in the supermarket freezer case as seen on the Vh1 reality show, “My Big Friggin’ Wedding” where he was the breakout star.
