Thanks Again Everyone For a Great May! Onto June...

Johnny Meatballs DeCarlo (May 21, 2013)

Starting the Season Strong

Tools

I can’t express how thankful I am for all of you who came to the Hasbrouck Heights Street Fair on Sunday in those rainy, cold conditions. I kept trying to be an optimist, even wearing my shades trying to “will” the sun, but to no avail. On a dreary day, you just want that “window,” though it never let up. However, you all still came out in droves and I appreciate it very much!!!

Overall, I must say out of the gate so far, both of my May events have been excellent. At this time I’d like to share some comments shared to me via facebook from my loyal customers of the last 2 events. (This is really why I do what I do.)

It was Rainy But Fun! You guys are super heroes braving that crappy weather .. I walked down the boulevard looking at all the vendors that were packing it up and all the empty spaces... but in my mind i was thinking Johnny Meatballs is still here .. sure enough I found him with Frankie Buon Antipasto sticking it out as others were drizzle dancing and they were sold and wet but were met with their effervescent warmth and welcoming smiles - my son Jack and I tried the Sausage Balls & Broccoli Rabe along with a swig of the Johnny/Frankie Root beer - wow ... nice addition .. looking forward to Hasbrouck Hts Farmers Market ... see you soon for a delicioso refill!

Well, we went to the fair....and we got completely soaked. But after one bite of those amazing meatballs, it made it all worth it!! Thank you Johnny!! See you at the next event!!!

Lizette Corrales

Joeleen and I went and got some meatballs... they were yummy:)

While I didnt make it because of the rain, my daughter did stop by and brought home 2 sandwiches for me! I like that you sold them separately, so the bread doesn't get soggy. MMMMMMMMM

Johnny Meatballs has the right 'tude we all can learn from. Just as the rainy weather was causing me to question my priorities with especially with a 7am load-in time, here arrives Johnny Meatballs in all his cheerful earnestness in his meatball truck, wearing that infectious smile on his face that says he's ready to start his day selling meatballs. Seeing that kind of dedication reminds me when its time for another one of my attitude adjustments.

Got some wonderful sausage meatballs today. AND I found my friend Sabine Dirringer selling her beautiful crafted cards and jewelry. AND I found my friend Lydia Banes-Kievit selling her beauteous beaded earrings. Went home with lovely things and an empty wallet
