Johnny Meatballs: The Next 30 Years

Johnny Meatballs: The Next 30 Years

Johnny Meatballs DeCarlo (April 11, 2011)

Many adventures to come!!!

Sometimes I wish I could be the Michael Keaton character in the movie, “Multiplicity.” For those that haven’t seen this hilarious ’96 film, in it, the main character Doug wants to be in more than one place at one time (doing his projects, playing with his kids, out golfing, etc.) So he goes to see this scientist who creates three duplicates of him so each one can be in a different place.

We all have found ourselves at times stretched too thin. I wish I could be cooking, writing, devoting myself to more TV projects, spending more romantic time with my wife, visiting with my parents and other relatives more, and have more time to just hang with my friends—all at the same time. Besides everything I have going on I’m now also coaching my seven year old in Little League, and of course I have a nine month old. I need at minimum of 3 more Johnny Meatballs.

I always wanted to be on TV and last year I got my shot by being cast on Vh1’s “My Big Friggin’ Wedding.” I always wanted to record a song and last year I recorded “The Meatball Song.” I always dreamed of having my own food product on the market and I accomplished that with Johnny’s Meatballs In Sunday Gravy.

On May 11th of this year, just three weeks from now, "My Big Friggin' Book" will be released (that day is also my thirtieth birthday). You can pre-order a copy right now if you can’t wait:

Of all of the above, I am most proud of being a husband and a father. Have I achieved fame and fortune? Some fame yes, but as for the latter, I am far from a millionaire. There’s so much I still plan on doing.

Opening up my own restaurant and getting another TV show are part of the plan. I pulled off the rest so I don’t see why those aren’t possible. If you want to follow me follow my dreams, the best way is on facebook and on my youtube channel where I’m always creating videos:

…So I’ll be the big 3-0 in less than a month and the best is yet to come from this Jersey Italian!

Three brand new videos have recently been uploaded on my youtube page for viewing: Serving meatballs and talking Italian-American culture at the Sons of Italy Tri-Valley Lodge in Bergenfield, an interview about entrepreneurship with My Path Builder TV, and my first ever, in-depth spice-by-spice, step-by-step cooking segment of Johnny’s Meatballs In Sunday Gravy on the Hot From The Kettle Show. (See links below.)

And here’s what else is in store in the future for Johnny Meatballs…

Well, my latest venture is JOHNNY MEATBALLS ON A ROLL (the world’s first mobile meatball cart). Construction is coming along nicely and it will be all done by May 1st. This is a totally customized gourmet wagon on wheels, the first of its kind serving hot Johnny Meatball Sandwiches!!! Look for the “Meat & Greet” Team this spring and summer at Italian feasts, farmers markets, flea markets, craft shows, parades, and many other events—large and small. The cart can be booked for private and public affairs all year long, across New Jersey and beyond. The long-term goal is to build a whole bunch of these and make a whole “Meat Fleet.”

Follow my progress and adventures with JM On A Roll on Eat Italian.com, where I will have an ongoing video series documenting the cart. I guess I can never be busy enough!
