Fratelli La Bufala Opens in NYC

Fratelli La Bufala comes to New York on Broadway and 76th Street after 110 openings around the world. The brand has come a long way since its inception in 2003, when the "brothers" opened their first restaurant in Naples.
Italians who do not reside in Naples know that they can get their fix of original Neapolitan pizza and delicious buffalo mozzarella at any of the Fratelli La Bufala locations in the country. Now New Yorkers have the same privilege: the Neapolitan eatery opens in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, on Broadway and 76th Street.

Fuzzy Levane, Fixture of New York City Basketball, Dies at 92

Fuzzy Levane, who as a high school and college star and as a coach and scout for the Knicks was a fixture of New York City basketball for a half-century, died on Monday in Irmo, S.C. He was 92. The cause was heart failure, his son Lawrence said.

Italian priest jailed for sex crimes against minors

A Catholic priest in Italy has been sentenced to almost a decade in prison for sexual violence against minors.A court in the northwest city of Genoa sentenced Riccardo Seppia to nine years, six months and 20 days in prison and fined him 28,000 euros.Seppia was found guilty of attempted sexual violence, attempted prostitution of a minor and of attempting to furnish cocaine to minors.

Wave of small-business owners' suicides

Venice, May 3 - A report by the Mestre-based association of artisans and small businessmen, CGIA, reported on Thursday that 32 entrepreneurs have committed suicide since the beginning of 2012, mostly due to the economic crisis.
The latest victim, a 52-year-old man from the town of Treviso in Veneto, hanged himself in his van, bringing the region's total to 10.
