Ethnic Encounters is IAWA's latest series of literary events that features writers of various ethnic backgrounds. The series is often bilingual.

Since 1991, the organization has given voice to writers through its Open Reading series at Cornelia St. Café every month. The three rules of IAWA: Read each other, Write or be written, Buy our books.
