This morning New York City is awakened up slowly, in silence, sad. Today, 9/11 is the remembrance day. Among the many official ceremonies, commemorations, public events in memory, at Lincoln Center, the art takes the place of words.

This morning over than 100 dancers and musicians performed the 5th annual "Table of Silence Project", a wonderful event organized by the Buglisi Dance Theather. The goal of the company, directed by Jacqulyn Buglisi, commemorates and pay tribute to the victims of 9/11.

The Table of Silence is a multi-cultural and international prayer for peace, realized through a trascendent ceremony for 100 dancers swathed in white, that carries out the vision of Jacqulyn Buglisi and artist Rossella Vasta. The name of the project was inspired by the Vasta's installation of 100 terracotta plates arranged around as a symbolic banquet table uniting humanity.  This moving banquet is a meditation for tolerance in our world and at same time celebrate our determination and the strength of our belief in freedom. A trascendetal experience that quiet the spirits.
