Description of Myself: Marisa Iallonardo is an editor and writer based in New York. Her writing has appeared in various publications including Westchester Magazine, Boston Magazine and Transitions Abroad. She studied journalism and Italian at Boston University and spent a semester studying art history and film in Padova. Growing up, she spent most of her summers in her parents (very) small towns outside of Naples and in Calabria and learned how to drive stick shift down a mountain, among other random things. Her favorite Italian movie is Fellini's 8 ½, she spends way too much money on Diesel jeans and loves the fact that her family still has a big, traditional Sunday dinner every week.
