The plenary session “USA: La Sfida Lombarda per competere. Le opportunità di sviluppo e di investimento nel mercato statunitense” (USA: the Lombardy Challenge to Compete. Development and Investment opportunities in the US market), hosted on Sept. 27 at the NYC headquarters of the Italian Trade Commission, saw the participation of 16 companies operating in the field of high tech involved in the project “USA: Approccio Integrato all’Internazionalizzazione” (USA: Integrated Approach to Internationalization), founded by the ITC, Confindustria Lombardia, and Regione Lombardia.

Justice Scalia questions the constitutional rights of women

TIME MAGAZINE - Controversial (Italian/American) Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia argues that the Constitution does not bar sex discrimination. In 1971, the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that women are protected by the equal-protection clause. Now, Adam Cohen writes, "It is no small thing to talk about writing women out of equal protection — or Jews, or Latinos or other groups who would lose their protection by the same logic." Foderaro entitled “Unlikely Group Charges Bias at University.” The article’s abstract read “Vincenzo Milione, a researcher at the Calandra Italian American Institute at the City University of New York, is suing CUNY and the institute’s director, saying he was retaliated against for criticizing what he considers the university’s poor record on recruiting Italian-American employees.” Many employees of the Institute—which gives i-Italy free hospitality—feel that Ms.
