Milan pays tribute to Alfa Romeo. Exhibition celebrates design legend's 100th birthday
ANSA. Milan is paying tribute to one of Italy's greatest design legends, the Alfa Romeo, with a short exhibition celebrating the car manufacturer's 100th birthday. The event at Milan's Triennale complex showcases 13 pristine models from the manufacturer's history, starting with the Alfa 15 HP Corsa from 1911. (Read the article)

ANSA. Italian screen divas Virna Lisi and Gina Lollobrigida on Thursday remembered Tony Curtis after his death at 85. "I'm really very sad," said Lisi, 73, despite only appearing opposite Curtis in one film, the 1966 hit Not With My Wife You Don't. (Read the article)

No more FGM in the name of the UN
Emma Bonino, Vice President of the Italian Senate, as well as the Italian Minster of Foreign Affairs Franco Frattini supported an International Campaign against FGM in New York asking for a UN Resolution that would ban this practice permanently.
