UNICO National Supports Major New Book on Italian American History
At a recent Big East basketball game between Seton Hall and Providence at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, officials and representatives of UNICO National presented a check for $50,000 to Professors William J. Connell and Stanislao Pugliese, editors of The Routledge History of Italian Americans.
‘Your Shape’: a Unique Italian Styling of the Beard
On March 14th, from 6pm-8pm, the project Your Shape and its eponymous exhibition will open at the Wook Choi Gallery in midtown Manhattan. The exhibition will remain open until March 19th. The goal: to bring the unique Italian styling of the beard to New York—the city that has transformed the beard into an unstoppable trend.
"The Street is in the House" by Carlo Sampietro
In his first US solo show, "The Street Is In The House", Italian born artist Carlo Sampietro presents five years of work based on his observations of life in megalopolises. The opening will take place at Ca'D'Oro Gallery on March 9 at 6pm. the exhibition will run until March 31.

Sagra del Libro Book Fair Kicks off IAWA's 25th Anniversary in Little Italy, NYC
The Italian American Writers Association kicked off its 25th anniversary with the Sagra del Libro book fair in an historic collaboration with the Order of the Sons of Italy, Lt. Joseph Petrosino Lodge #285 that was initiated by IAWA's recently departed Board Member Emelise Aleandri and was dedicated to her memory.
