140 countries from around the world are expected to participate in Expo Milano 2015
At Eataly’s Manzo Restaurant, Massimo Bottura, the award-winning chef of Modena’s renowned Osteria Francescana, took time out from the classes, tastings and dinners surrounding Identita Golosa to speak to a group of journalists about the plans for Expo Milano 2015. The aim of this universal exposition themed “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” is to unite countries, institutions, companies and citizens from all over the world to explore ideas and solutions for feeding the world’s constantly growing population.
140 countries from all over the world are expected to participate in the Expo, which will run for 6 months from May through October of 2015. Each country will have its own pavilion, which can be used to promote its history, traditions, products and future food. Over 20 million visitors are expected to attend which will be held at the Fiera Milano. Giuseppe Salo, CEO of Expo Milano, told us that Milan is the perfect location for the Expo because of its central location, good transportation network, and many other facilities.
Mr. Bottura summed up the presentation perfectly when he invited us to “fall in love with Italy again” and there is no better opportunity to do just that than Expo 2015. To learn more about Expo Milano 2015, go to www.expo2015.org [4].
