Italian Pays $213,000 for First Personal Computer Apple 1

WHAT IS  THE TREND. Marco Boglione, an Italian businessman purchased Apple 1, auctioned by Christie’s Auction House for $213,600 (£133,250). The businessman phoned his bid to Christie’s and the first generation Apple computer was sold for $213,600. Steve Wosniak, co-founder of Apple and the genius behind Apple 1 design, was on hand for the auction event. (Read the article)

Pope repeats No to gays in new book. Homosexuality can never be 'morally just', Benedict says

Online giant Amazon lands in Italy. Retailer confident of success on new market

ANSA. Online retail giant Amazon landed in Italy on Tuesday with the launch of a new Italian-language site that it says will broaden choice for consumers and boost the nation's e-commerce sector. The retailer has grown into a $24.5-billion business since its birth in Seattle in 1994 thanks to a formula based on fast delivery and passing to customers savings derived from bulk buying and cutting out middlemen.
