Nichi Vendola (left-wing politician and currently the President of Apulia) said that, "With her we lose one of the most crystalline and noble voices of democratic Italy."

Fiat 500 has record North American year as sales top 50,000

New York - US sales of the Fiat 500 mini car jumped by 50% in December and by 121% over the full year, the Turin-based company said Thursday. The December figures for the Fiat brand - which only sells the 500 under its brand badge in North America - was the best for all group brands in that market and marked the 10th consecutive month of record sales.
