I'm very excited by i-Italy as a portal between things Italian and American, a place on the net where folks can meet to exchange ideas on a host of topics relating to Italian/American.  Many of us have been looking for a place like this for some time.

I'd be remiss if I didn't take note of the near absence of women bloggers.  I am aware this beta site is in-progress and that the editors are working to expand the site's contributors.  In the interim, let make you aware of the Italian-American group Malìa, "a feminist collective dedicated to promoting the creative work of women."
