Since 1991, IAWA has given voice to writers through its literary series every second Saturday of the months. Readings begin with an Open Mic: IAWA-East is held even months at Sidewalk Café and IAWA-West continues at Cornelia Street Café on odd months. Visit and join us at iawa.net

WHO: Chuck Joy’s most recent collection Said the Growling Dog (Nirala Publications). Joy hosted Poetry Scene, a weekly poetry event at The Erie (Book Store for eight years. A child psychiatrist, Joy is co-chair of the Art Committee for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and poetry coordinator for the AACAP News.  

 
 Jennifer Militello has authored three collections of poetry: A Camouflage of Specimens and Garments (Tupelo Press, 2016), Body Thesaurus (Tupelo Press, 2013) was named one of the top 10 poetry books of 2013 by Best American Poetry, and Flinch of Song, won the Tupelo Press First Book Award. Her poems have been published widely in such journals as American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, The New Republic, The North American Review, The Paris Review, and Ploughshares, and anthologized in Best New Poets.
