IAWA is proud to join The Brooklyn Book Festival, the largest free literary event in New York City, presenting an array of national and international literary stars and emerging authors. One of America’s premier book festivals, this hip, smart diverse gathering attracts thousands of book lovers of all ages to enjoy authors and the festival’s lively literary marketplace.

WHO:Edited by Edvige Giunta and Joseph Sciorra, Embroidered Stories is a collection of work that interprets Italian women’s needlework, a cultural touchstone as powerful as pasta and Neapolitan music. The collection is an interdisciplinary collection of creative work by 37 authors ranging from meolire, poetry and visula arts. Joining them will be three contributors: Paola Corso, Joanna Clapps Herman and Marisa Frasca.
